Manitoba may boast 100,000 lakes, but their tides and waves are very minimal.
I love crashing waves, so when I heard of the ones at the Ahukini State Recreation Pier, I could not resist visiting.
I went there twice during my stay in Kauai in 2017. The spot, which is located on the Southeast shore, near the Lihu'e Airport, is one of my favorite on the island.
This photo is not the most impressive I took, but I like how it captures the unstoppable force of water.
