Backlane of Ellice Avenue
A series of small murals featuring Aboriginal art. According to the signature at the bottom, it was created in 2004 by an artist named Vernon or Yernon.
I have no information on this piece. But after looking at the photos carefully, the whole thing seems to be a collaboration between several people, including members of the Job Works Youth Builders Programs and someone named Rambo.
The circle represents a Medicine Wheel, the symbol of life. The four traditional colors (white, yellow, red, and black) are there, as well as the four directions. I wonder what the triangles mean, though. Does any of you know?
