1748 Main Street - "D-Day Invasion of Normandy; June 6, 1944"
"D-Day Invasion of Normandy; June 6, 1944": Charlie Johnston (C5 Artworks, 2012).
The mural is at the Royal Canadian Legion North Kildonan (Branch #30).
Canada and Newfoundland (the province was not yet part of the country) sent more than 1 million soldiers to fight during WWII. D-Day
involved 15,000 Canadian soldiers -- about 10% of all troops!
