3 Borrowman Place
Artwork by the students of Gordon Bell High School (2001). This school organizes its own Human Rights Day event every year and is recognized by the United Nations for its work in human rights.
The theme of this mural is peace and justice. You will recognize very famous symbols, including the blindfolded Lady Justice (impartiality to all considerations but the facts), a white dove, the Circle of Life (First Nations), the yin and the yang, an olive wreath and branch, a rainbow, and the V sign. All the kids volunteered their time to work on the project, which took a whole year to complete.
Apparently, each part is made of plywood. Quite mind-blowing, right?
