Hôtel d'Assézat, Toulouse, France
Also known as the "Pink City," Toulouse is the fourth largest city in France. It is located on the banks of the River Garonne, 150 kilometres from the Mediterranean Sea, 230 km from the Atlantic Ocean and 680 km from Paris.
The Hôtel d'Assézat is an 18th-century hôtel particulier (private mansion) built by Nicolas Bachelier for Pierre d'Assézat who had made his fortune from woad. The building houses the Fondation Bemberg, a private museum that features paintings, drawings, sculptures, ancient books and furniture formerly owned by Georges Bemberg (1915–2011).
