Hyppolite Olivier Fountain, Toulouse, France
Also known as the "Pink City," Toulouse is the fourth largest city in France. It is located on the banks of the River Garonne, 150 kilometres from the Mediterranean Sea, 230 km from the Atlantic Ocean and 680 km from Paris.
A gift from Chocolate Maker Hyppolite Olivier in 1886, the Fontaine Hyppolite Olivier commemorates the flood that destroyed 1,400 homes and claimed 210 lives in June 1875. It is located in the Saint-Cyprien neighborhood, one of the most affected areas in the city.
