St Sernin Basilica, Toulouse, France

Also known as the "Pink City," Toulouse is the fourth largest city in France. It is located on the banks of the River Garonne, 150 kilometres from the Mediterranean Sea, 230 km from the Atlantic Ocean and 680 km from Paris.

The Basilica of Saint-Sernin is located on the site of a 4th-century basilica that contained the body of Saint Sernin, the first bishop of Toulouse.

Saint-Sernin is the largest remaining Romanesque building in Europe. It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998.
