Messina is the third largest city in Sicily. It was founded by Greek colonists in the 8th century BC and was originally called Zancle.
Lucca is located at the foot of the Apuan Alps, near the coast of Versilia. It has well-preserved Renaissance walls that encircle its historic center and cobblestone streets, a beautiful square built on the remains of a Roman amphitheatre (Piazza dell’Anfiteatro), two towers, and several lovely religious buildings like the Church of San Michele in Foro and the Basilica of San Frediano.
A couple of years ago, after a rainy spell, I started taking photos of droplets in my backyard. This turned into an ongoing series. Here are some of my shots.
